KABARI KABARET - Saturday 23rd May

Kabari Kabaret

When: 23RD MAY AT 8PM

Where: Kabari Bar, 78 Manning Street, Kiama, NSW 2533

What: From the creators of The KISS Arts Festival, the founder of Port Kembla’s Vault Cabaret and Kiama Council, comes Kabari Kabaret, a brandspanking new and absolutely essential comedy night out promising to be the most fun you can have in Kiama with your pants on!

Your hosts, outrageous and hilarious local duo Kiki and Pascal will be joined onstage by the gorgeous Heidi Hoops, hysterical crowd favourite Mr Drew Fairley, musical wunderkind Nick Rheinberger and the exciting terror that is The Governess, for this, the first night of many to come.

Shamelessly pinning itself on the coat tails of Kiama’s newest, trendiest bar Kabari, Kabari Kabaret promises a hugely entertaining night of comedy, circus, cabaret, vaudeville, burlesque, and music from some of the region’s most exciting and talented performers all squeezed into two hours of hugely funny and innovative entertainment upstairs in the Kabari Bar.

Kabari Kabaret ko-Kreators Dave Evans, Tamara Campbell and Anne-Louise Rental bring to the table a vast amount of experience in programming and performing comedy/variety entertainment. Anne-Louise Rental is the founder of Port Kembla’s cult night out “The Vault Cabaret”, Dave Evans and Tamara Campbell own and run Laughter House Entertainment and in their spare time stage Kiama’s K.I.S.S. Arts Festival each year.

The first night promises an amazingly exciting line-up including everything from acrobatics, crockery manipulation, hula hooping and lasso to slide guitar, comedy clairvoyance, interpretive dance and equine impersonations! The show kicks off at 8pm but why not turn up early and try the pre-show dinner menu? John the chef has put together a special Kabari Kabaret menu to compliment the evening’s entertainment.

Whatever you do, don’t miss it, as everybody will be talking about it but nobody will be able to explain it!

Kabari Kabaret would not be possible without the support of Kiama Council’s Cultural grant scheme which is helping to fund this evening and another planned for 31st October 2015.
